Mickey Rourke is moving on from being a washed-up professional wrestler Randy "The Ram" Robinson in "The Wrestler" to portraying a super villain in "Iron Man 2".
Script is still being written by Justin Theroux, and Marvel has been trying to keep a wrap on details leaking out to fanboys.
Rourke was said to have dropped out over pay when word hit the web the Oscar-nominated actor had been offered a measly $250,000 for the role. Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood Daily says Rourke’s agent David Unger got the quote up to a “significant” level.
Iron Man 2 production is underway and is set for a May 7, 2010 release.
