Plot

Just before World War II, in northern Australia, an English aristocrat (Nicole Kidman) inherits Faraway Downs, a huge cattle ranch. She must work with a cattle driver (Hugh Jackman) to protect the ranch from a takeover by another station manager (David Wenham).
